The School District of Newberry County's Procurement Code vests the responsibility for conducting and directing all surplus sales with the Office of Procurement. All sales are held in a public forum. No employee of the District shall receive any special or private consideration in the disposal of surplus property.
SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY
Pursuant to 2022-23 Budget Proviso 1.113 (Surplus Property), The School District of Newberry County (“the District”) is hereby providing notice of its list of real property that has been vacant, unused, or unused for direct student instruction for the previous four school years and is not currently included in any district capital improvement plan for future use. In accordance with the proviso, the District must transfer, or offer for sale or lease, such property to another governmental subdivision or state agency. The properties meeting the description of surplus property under the proviso are listed below.

SURPLUS PROPERTY – SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT
The District’s surplus supplies and equipment sales are conducted primarily through electronic auctions, through the GovDeals internet auction site at www.govdeals.com. This will allow the District to offer items for sale all year long, thereby allowing increased access to available supplies and equipment more frequently than ever before. Please refer to the website for all terms and conditions of sale. Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the property before bidding. All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranties or guarantees, stated or implied.
