Public Invited to Review Proposed Instructional Materials and Textbooks
The public is invited to review textbooks and instructional materials that have been proposed for use in South Carolina's public schools. The materials will be on display at seven locations from November 18, 2024-January 3, 2025, with instructions for submitting comments available at each site.
In addition to the display sites, digital access will be available for the recommended programs. On November 18, 2024, the publisher-provided links will be posted online on the SCDE website (2024 Public Review). The materials recommended by the Instructional Materials Review Panels will be submitted to the State Board of Education (SBE) for consideration on January 7, 2025. The SBE will receive public comments before a final decision is made on adopting the instructional materials.
