Archery Team Competes at State Meet

On Wednesday, March 29th the Mid-Carolina High School Archery Team competed in the State NASP IBO/3D tournament. Mid-Carolina qualified as one of the top ten teams in the state with the discipline to acquire the invite. Lead shooters for the team were Brady Moates, Brayden Archey, Ben Anderson, Kyle Fulmer, Kassidy Harrison, and Mina Dandridge. The team amassed 1555 points on the day. Kyle Fulmer, Ben Anderson, Travis Beard, Brady Moates, and Dianna Moore were invited to participate in the Bullseye Tournament and shot respectable scores from 253-273. Other archers that participated were Levi Wessinger, Tripp Forbis, Cole Graham, Jake Arnett, Kayley Minick, Carson Cockrell, Christian Wright, Daniel Moore, Lillian Lantz, Ariel Kennedy, and Adriane Morris. Two individuals were lucky enough on the day to win $1,000 scholarships, congratulations to seniors Dianna Moore and Ben Anderson. Coach Jason Long would like to extend many thanks to the parents of these archers for allowing them to practice and participate in the sport of archery. Also Ms. Kristin Caughman, for help as a chaperone and bus driver for the event.
