What is an FSA ID?
An FSA ID (username and password) replaces the old Federal Student Aid PIN.
It is required to log in to U.S. Department of Education websites, access financial aid records, and sign FAFSA documents electronically.
If you linked a previous PIN, you can use your FSA ID immediately.
If you did not have a previous PIN, your FSA ID will be active within 1-3 days after Social Security Administration verification.
Trouble Logging In?
If your FSA ID is locked, visit https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/sign-in/landing and click “Forgot My Password”.
Follow the prompts to verify your identity and unlock your account.
