Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff healthy by following the following guidelines! As we are seeing increased flu activity, we need your help to reduce the spread of germs. • It is very important to stay home when feeling sick, and consult with your healthcare provider. • Ill children should stay home until 24 hours after they are fever free without the use of fever-reducing medicines. • Keep sick children at home for at least 24 hours after they no longer have vomiting or diarrhea. • If your child has fever, vomiting or diarrhea today, they cannot come to school tomorrow. • If you have any questions please contact Nurse Fran (803-321-2655)

Pastries with Parents Reminder
As a part of the city's celebration of Public Utilities Day, the City of Newberry Utility Department reached out to Art teachers around the district for students to create a collaborative piece of art that has a utility theme. Mrs. Hughes, our Art teacher, chose 19 GES students to work on the project. They designed, drew, and painted it with leadership and guidance from Mrs. Hughes. These students worked VERY hard and are very proud of their final painting! We are Gator Proud of these students, Mrs. Hughes, and all of their hard work! They were celebrated last night at Public Utilities Fun Day and the art work from around the district will be displayed at City Hall.
